WOW - 1 down, 25+ to go
So at last they have found the leak. Another hole in the bedroom wall was needed but a loose T-junction on the hot water pipe seems to have been the culprit. It was tightened last week and today a worker from the sanitation company can and blocked up all the holes ready for the tiler to come and put tiles on. He was very careful about the mess he made and did a very good job.

.. and the damp is back
Jeez - noticed today that the damp at the bottom of the technical riser which serves the visitors toilet is back. Unbelievable! Again it is Mr. Mosca's fault (again), His boss told him to open the wall to check that all the water had gone after the problem with the damp. Of course he didn't - he just had one of the workers cover it over with the plaster and paint it.
I am going to add it to the list of things which we will be discussing with the lawyer tomorrow. Can you believe that we had to pay over 500'000 chf for this level of quality, I really do hope we can sue Induni for 'supplying a defective product' I would love to see them hit with compensation claim.

Can you see a difference between these 2 photos?
No, well let me explain...
The photo on the left is a standard thermostat - it was invented in 1885 over 100 years ago (wikipedia link). The photo on the right is Induni's effort at the same sort of instrument. You will notice there are not many similarities.
- One is easy to read with a digital display / the other has little glass tubes with lines painted on them.
- One works in a standard measure of temperature - degrees Celsius / the other is measured in liters per minute
- One is conveniently located in the rooms where you want to set the temperature / the other is in the basement.
.. I could go on, but I think you get the picture.

A New Hope
Today I had a visit from Mr. Devanthéry. He is the person who Induni have hired to take over all the 'problems' with our 8 new houses. It is a sad refection that nearly 6 months after the first family moved in, that there are still enough outstanding problems for Induni to have to hire someone to fix them.
We went through the list of outstanding issues, including the list (which he brought with him) we made at Induni's first attempt to give us the house back in February and of course the water problem. He promised to get it all fixed, not the first time I have heard those words.
Bert'Eau had written written a letter the Tuesday after a Friday when I had asked the third (different) person to come and try and find the leak to leave and not come back until he had 'a' plan, 'the' plans of the house, some tools (apart from a drill) and an appointment with us. They actually used the word refoule which translates roughly to 'repelled'. That is how they describe our reaction to them ringing the front door bell at 06:45 on Monday (26th May) without said appointment. I guess it is a pretty good interpretation of our actions :-)
So we have to wait and see what happens, you can probably guess my level of confidence...

The Leak
You must remember that this house cost us around 500'000.00 Swiss Francs and we put about another 100'000.00 Swiss Francs of extras (plus value) into it.
So I'm now very angry that we have had water leaking into the basement whenever we use the bathroom on the top floor (attic).
So far the plumbing company "Bert'eau SA' has been at least 9 (yes 9!) times to try and fix it, without success. We have holes all over the house, dust everywhere and they still have not fixed it (we moved in at the beginning of April).

The Solution...
After pointing out this rather large problem to Mr Mosca, he had this work (see photo above) done to correct it. My 'gast' was 'flabbered' at the total lack of any quality or planning...
Design Fault (front wall) - Cellar roof exposed !!
One of the main (enormous) problems - the shaded area is the exposed roof of the sous-sol (cellar), now with a piece of insulation and rocks covering it (see above photo)
new day - new blog
Well it seems that I have come to the point where I have to start documenting this stuff day by day so that I have some sort of record to refer to.
It is really sad that I have to resort to the Net to put pressure on one of Switzerland's biggest construction companies but I am just a 'little' customer of theirs and now that I was forced to pay all the money owed to them before I could move in - I have no other 'leverage'.
